Hello and welcome to The Needle Lady! We are a full service yarn and needlework shop
located on the historic downtown mall in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Our shelves are brimming with incredible yarns from all over the world. We carry Anny Blatt,
Art Yarns, Artful Yarns, Berroco, Bouton d'Or, Brown Sheep, Cascade, Cherry Tree Hill,
Classic Elite, Colinette, Dale of Norway, Debbie Bliss, Elsbeth Lavold, Fiesta, Fonty,
Hanne Falkenberg, Heirloom, Jade Sapphire, Jane Slicer Smith, Jo Sharp, Karabella,
Knit One, Crochet Too, Malabrigo, Manos del Uruguay, Mission Falls, Mountain Colors, Muench,

carry a diverse inventory of bags, including Offhand Designs, Namaste, and Lantern Moon,
and lots of books, needles, patterns and supplies.
Our walls are covered with magnificent needlepoint canvases, many of them custom painted
in-house. The threads that we stock are Waverly Colors persian wool, Appleton wool, DMC wool,
perle cotton 3 and 5, and floss, Anchor floss, and Kanagawa and Madeira silks.
Our staff is knowledgeable, helpful and always a lot of fun. Come and visit us when you

Snow Day
The Needle Lady will be open today--Sunday (February 7)--for slightly extended hours 11-5.
We are going to have a make up class session today for anyone in the Saturday Knitting, or the Sunday Crochet class. I will be at the shop to teach from 11-2, so anyone in the Saturday knitting (we've now missed 2 classes) or the Sunday Crochet class (we've missed one class) can come in any 2 hour period from 11-2 today for a make up class. I realize the roads are not great and neighborhoods are still not all plowed, so if you cannot make it today--don't worry. I will be calling you to arrange other make up times.
There is also a regularly scheduled Monday night knitting class from 5:30 to 7:30 tomorrow that will happen. Any of the Saturday knitting class or the crochet class that can't make it today can also come on Monday night to make up a missed class. Give the shop a call beginning at 11:00 today if you have any questions.
If you are going stir crazy, come on down to the shop with your knitting--we'll be there!
KNITTING NIGHT!!!
WE ARE OPEN LATE FOR "KNIT NIGHT" ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH.
We are open from 5-8pm on the first Thursday of the month for a social knitting night. The next two "Knit Nights" are Thursday, Feb. 4 and Thursday, March 4. These nights are not set up for teaching, merely social. If you are a visitor to Charlottesville, join us on these Knit Nights and make some new friends.
